Steve Price is a Houston-based singer songwriter whose songs build on a mix of influences
like Cash, Kristofferson, Dylan, Gram Parsons and many other folk, rock, country
and blues masters to touch your heart, entertain, and tell you something you didn’t
know or hadn’t thought about. They reflect a long experience of viewing life
and love from up, down, sideways, and through a fish-eye lens. His first album,
Laughing Eyes, features songs of love won, lost, and left behind, primarily
in a rocking roadhouse country style. His second album, Spirit in the
Wind,
is available from Mytexasmusic.com. The album includes eleven folk-rock
and country songs about love, loss, funny stuff, and keeping your balance in a crazy
world. Cuts from this album are available on the Music page of this website. His
song "The Magic Mandolin" is also included
on the 2008 Compilation CD from the Houston Association
of Acoustic Musicians. He is currently working
on a new cd project at White Cat Studion in Houston
(due out in late summer 2010) tentatively entitled "Less
Than Perfect Stranger." So please check
